Submitting data
What is the largest datafile I can reasonably send?
There is no fixed maximum, however due to the possibility
of line failure we would not recommend that you send more than 500,000 names
and addresses in any one transmission.
If you have more data than this, we would suggest that
you break it up into chunks of 500,000 (around 50MB) or less. There’s
nothing to stop you simultaneously uploading several files at once from several
servers.
The inbound lines to Intact from QAS are extremely fast
so the transmission speed will be entirely determined by the speed of your Internet
connection.
How long will it take to process my data?
When you send us your data it is added to a queue for
processing. The length of the queue at the time we receive your names and addresses
will determine when we begin to process your data.
As soon as your data has been processed you will receive
an e-mail with your free data healthcheck. In general we try to get your data
healthcheck to you within 48 hours, however, we cannot guarantee this during
busy periods.
What happens if my line or computer fails in the middle of
a transmission?
Simply fix the problem and restart the transmission. Intact
from QAS will not process the part-transmission that failed.
What different kind of data sources can I use?
Intact can extract data from all
of the following data sources:
- Microsoft Access
- Microsoft Excel
- CSV Delimiter file
- Fixed Width file
I have a file of business names and
addresses that I would like to clean, suppress and enhance.
Can I do this through Intact from QAS?
The online Intact from QAS service
does not currently provide access to business data.
To find out more about QAS' off line services please
